
The annual Grand Illumination will light up the James Center Friday night.
Several bands are set to play to also help set the tone of the holidays.
The Greater Richmond's Children's Choir, Varina High's marching band, and even some characters from the Nutcracker will show up to bring magic to tonight's event.
There will also be an awareness campaign for the group stop child abuse now. It's asking that you bring unwrapped gifts to benefit deserving children.
There will be some street closings to keep in mind. 10th street will close between East Cary and Canal. There will be no parking available on Cary Street from 9th to 12th
Expect delays at 6 p.m.
