Darton pulls away in 2nd half

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The final score doesn't give an indication of how close Darton's 71-49 win over Central Georgia Tech was at halftime.

The Lady Cavaliers held just a three point lead.

Darton women scored the first ten points of the second half and cruised to their 9th win in 10 games and remain unbeaten in the GCAA with a 5-0 record.

Michelle Mitchell, last week's GCAA player of the week, had another double-double scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Middle Georgia has forfeited Saturday's game to Darton and the Lady Cavs next game is at home next Wednesday against South Georgia Tech.

The Lady Jets beat Albany Tech 74-62 Wednesday at the Hangar in Americus.

South Georgia Tech Jets defeat the Titans of Albany Tech 71-69.
