PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) -
Family and friends remembered a two-year-old girl killed in a fire at Fort Lee.
The memorial service for Kourtney Flowers was held in Petersburg on Tuesday. Kourtney and her father, Sergeant Corey Flowers, were found dead inside the duplex earlier this month.
The girl's mother, an army specialist stationed at Fort Lee, was not home when it happened.
Sgt. Flowers will be buried in his hometown, Raeford, North Carolina.
Investigators say the cause of the fire is cooking related.
