Richmond International Airport's upper-level roadway will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for three days, Tuesday, November 27th, through Thursday, November 29th, due to necessary maintenance on the terminal building exterior.
During the daily closure periods, all vehicles will be directed to the lower-level roadway for both arrivals and departures.
Electronic signs will be in place on airport drive to alert motorists of the temporary traffic change and officers with the airport's police department will be on hand to assist.
Customers are advised to follow posted speed limits and anticipate temporary traffic pattern changes during the maintenance closures of the upper-level roadway. Additionally, the height clearance for the lower level roadway is 12' 2".
Customer and commercial vehicles exceeding the height limit should avoid approaching the terminal building while the upper level roadway is closed.
Throughout the maintenance period, pedestrian traffic will continue to have access to the upper level walkways between the terminal and the North and South parking garages.
