Longview Police caught a man who ran from police during a traffic stop.
It happened around 1:30 Friday afternoon near the intersection of Sarah and Pine Tree Road.
Police had pulled over a red or orange Mustang when the passenger opened his door and ran. One street north, on Primrose Lane, the man looked through a glass door and asked Karen Matthews if he could come in to her house for a minute. She and her husband told him no and he ran into a neighbor's yard.
Police located the suspect and arrested him. An ambulance transported the suspect to a local hospital when he said he was having chest pain.
"I saw him first. My husband got up and opened the door and he said 'can I come in to your house for a minute?' No. Crazy. No!" Matthews said.
The Mustang left the scene. Police say the suspect had two outstanding city warrants.
