Four armed men in masks rob social club

It's a heist that sounds straight out of a movie script, but it happened in Chesterfield County. Police say four masked men robbed a social club on the night of a card game with lots of money changing hands.

Now police are trying to figure out who is behind the masks. It happened Friday night at the Southside Social Club on Jefferson Davis Highway.

Police say four masked men barged in the room with guns, wearing what looked to be a scream mask, ghost mask, and black masks.

"They ordered everyone up against the wall at which time they told them to remove everything from their pockets," said Captain Chris Hensley with the Chesterfield County Police. "They took keys, cell phones, cash."

About a dozen people were inside. With guns raised, police say the suspects also took a cash box.

"Anytime four armed subjects with handguns come into a place with people you have a recipe for disaster," said Hensley.

Police will confirm the suspects got away with more than ten thousand dollars. Though, several tips to NBC12 indicate it could have been tens of thousands of dollars.

Because of the way the entryway door works, the people responsible most likely needed a key or needed someone to let them in the door. Plus, there are cameras monitoring the inside and outside of the building.

Police are reviewing the video and pictures to see if anything stands out, but they say this much is clear: someone knew the event was occurring.

Police say the four men left the building through the same door, though it's not clear how they got away.
