RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
A memorial service will be held Wednesday afternoon for the Henrico teenager who fell to his death from the Lee Bridge.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, 18-year-old Virgil McGarity likely tried to jump the gap between the north and southbound spans on Saturday night.
He fell several dozen feet onto the footbridge that runs from Tredegar street to Belle Isle.
The memorial begins at 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church on Forest Avenue.
