RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
The Spiders let a late lead slip away against Minnesota on Saturday. They almost let the same thing happen Tuesday.
Richmond held on to beat Wofford 64-58 at the Robins Center. The Spiders led by just two at halftime, but extended it to double-digits through most of the second half. The Terriers would not quit - closing the gap to two with under a minute to go. But Greg Robbins hit a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left, and UR got the defensive stops it needed to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Kendall Anthony had a career high 24 points. Derrick Williams added 10 points in the victory.
The Spiders next play at the University of Ohio Saturday.
