Holiday Events at Magnolia Grange House Museum

The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia (CHSV) will celebrate the Christmas season at Historic Magnolia Grange House Museum with the theme "A Regency Christmas."

CHSV's annual Christmas Open House is Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Magnolia Grange will be decorated as it was during the Regency Period, 1812-1830. This family-friendly event features a visit from Santa, refreshments, free house tours and discounts in our gift shop which spotlights unique items created by Chesterfield craftsmen and artisans. The Open House is free.

Themed teas will be offered on Wednesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. A program entitled "Christmas in Jane Austen's Day" will be presented by Kathy Chain, owner of Herbs of Happy Hill, Chester, VA. These popular teas feature selections of finger sandwiches, sweets and teas.

Prepaid reservations are required and can be arranged by calling 796-1479. Price: $25/person.
