POWHATAN, VA (WWBT) -
A pit bull scheduled to be put down has been adopted from the Powhatan Animal Shelter.
8-year-old Lexi has been adopted, but they're still looking for a permanent home for 1-year-old Aiden.
The shelter was scheduled to put down the dogs next month due to limited space.
Powhatan Animal Shelter hasn't euthanized a dog in more than two years.
