TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
Alabama finds themselves in a predicament very similar to last season. After a loss to Texas A&M, the Crimson Tide fell three spots in the BCS rankings, taking away their shot at a repeat national championship--at least for now.
"Last, when it happened in the LSU game I don't think we lost a beat," said Nico Johnson. "I think we gained more and more motivation. The past couple of weeks this year we haven't been playing our best ball and it's showing."
"It gives you more hope," said Eddie Lacy. "You never know what can happen anybody can lose on any given day. As long as we take care of our part we can only wait and see what happens with everyone else."
The Tide faces many challenges as they rely on upsets from the remaining undefeated teams, but the primary obstacle might just be themselves.
"Last year, they responded the right way with a positive attitude," said Nick Saban. "In terms of how they finished the season and gave themselves an opportunity at the end. They didn't have any control over it, but they had control over what they did. The goal is to have this team respond in a positive manner well."
For now the Tide's future is uncertain. And although fans might be scoreboard watching Alabama will do what they do best--continue the process.
