Chesterfield Police are looking for the people who broke into a home in the Chesterfield area. It happened around 3:30pm in the Stonebridge neighborhood on Gatebridge Road.
The victims say the intruders were a bunch of teenagers
"They tried to jimmie the door frame," victim Kim Porter described. "And when that didn't work, they went to the bathroom."
Kim Porter says the intruders took the screen out of the window and managed to climb inside a window that was locked.
Porter said she left the home, then ten minutes later, Porter said her daughter came home, saw the door open behind her and heard noise upstairs. That's when she says several teenage boys came running down.
"They came balling down the stair sand they saw her and she saw them," said Porter. "And they split."
Porter called 911 and police responded moments later, but the burglars got away with money, electronics, and sentimental jewelry.
"She was upset, I was shaken, my son was affected by it and he wasn't even here," said Porter.
Now, she wants the criminals caught and her peace of mind back. Police say there were 3 black male teenagers- one with braids and one with a light colored hoodie. If you saw anything suspicious in the area yesterday around that time, call police.
