Vice President to make a stop in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

It's getting down to the wire and both sides working to gain your vote.

Monday Vice President  Joe Biden and his wife will stop here at the Iron Works in Richmond and they are bringing a big music act with them to help set the stage for a political showdown.

The Bidens will first stop in Sterling Virginia to speak to crowds at the Heritage Farm Museum at noon.

Then at 7 P.M. this evening, Joe Biden and Jill Biden will rally Democrats at the historic Iron Works.

Their focus; strengthening the middle class and creating economic security according to the campaign.

Officials say Biden will speak about education, jobs, and new energy plans.

Governor Tim Kaine will join him as well as senators Jim Webb and Mark Warner.

Helping to bring a high note to the event, singer John Mellencamp, whose remained an Obama-Biden supporter from the beginning.

Doors will open at 4:30 P.M. Monday afternoon in anticipation of Biden's stop in Richmond.
