A Henrico man who used to work for a private school in the west end is busted in a child porn sting.
59-year old Michael Winston Baynes, resigned from his job as an assistant to the athletic director at the Steward School.
In an interview with the Feds – Baynes admitted to receiving the videos at his home.
He stated "he should have stopped purchasing films after the first order," knew the "DVDs were probably illegal," but "figured it was ok, if it was on Amazon."
The indictment says agents found a collection of DVDs, photo albums and CDs full of "partially clothed... adolescent boys dating back to the early 80's" inside a house on Hollandale Road. They also found a "series of secretly filmed encounters between Baynes and an adolescent boy."
But what may be most shocking and scary for Henrico parents is agents also found "numerous photographs of adolescent boys at school bus stops, pools, and bleachers at athletic events."
In the indictment, Baynes said he was just "familiarizing himself with a new camera."
There are no allegations of misconduct at the Steward School property, and school officials said parents and staff were notified even before the arrest.
School officials say Baynes notified the school of the investigation against him and resigned, last month, days before his arrest.
This new image of Baynes is something neighbors find unbelievable.
"He was just quiet he came in and out no one ever came over there except his dad and once in a while his mom, that's all," one neighbor said.
In the indictment, Baynes also admitted to volunteering at the Tuckahoe Little League.
