HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) -

Police have made several arrests after a shooting on Halloween in Hopewell - including the teen that was injured.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of Wilmington Avenue.

Four adults and five juveniles were arrested.

Jaquan Alphonso Dennis, Howard K. Jones, Dion Saunders and Tonya Yvonne Blizzard were arrested on various charges, including assault by mob, gang participation, and gang recruitment. The 16-year-old victim was also charged with these crimes.

The 16-year-old shooting suspect is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, underage possession of a firearm, reckless handling of a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm in the city.
