Snow begins falling in parts of Southwest Virginia

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Forecasters have issued a winter storm warning for southwest Virginia around Buchanan County through Wednesday morning.

Snow is falling and blizzard conditions are possible at elevations over 3,000 feet.

The low-lying areas should not see snowfall.  In the mountains, heavy snow at this time of year is unusual.
