Editorial: The Final Debate and the Undecided

We are now in the final lap of the race for the White House. Many of you watched the third and final presidential debate and by now you probably know who you will vote for on Election Day. But that is not the case for all of you. There are still many voters in Central Virginia who are still undecided. Being an undecided voter is a coveted title this year and especially if you live in a swing state like Virginia. According to the latest  Rasmussen poll only 1 percent remain undecided in Virginia. That compares to 2 to 4 percent of undecided voters around the country.

Many of you are thinking, how can anyone be undecided at this point in the campaign. Some undecided voters are being ridiculed and sometimes discredited, but that would be a mistake. There are many races that are still within the margin of error for winning or losing, and Virginia is one of those states.  I have actually spoken with a couple of undecided voters and here is what most of them had to say: "I'm just not sure." And when I ask them what is it that they are not sure about, some say, "I don't know." I am by no means making light of the still undecided voter because in Virginia they will most likely decide who will win this state and quite possibly decide who will become our next President.

But one thing is for sure, we hope they make up their minds by November 6th.
