HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -
Henrico's new elementary school gets a name Thursday night.
David A. Kaechele was surprised and honored to learn the school will be named after him.
Kaechele has served on the county board of supervisors since 1972.
He represents the Three Chopt district - that's where the school is being built, on Pouncy Tract Road.
At the school board meeting Thursday, Kaechele said he was grateful to receive the honor. Students followed with a performance to celebrate.
