The medical examiner's office has officially identified the victim of the deadly train accident in Spotsylvania this week.
74-year-old Charles Hollowell died Wednesday afternoon, near Mine Road.
The investigation is still ongoing, but the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office says it appears Hollowell was crossing the tracks at a bend and didn't realize a train was approaching.
Investigators say the train's engineer was able to sound his horn and apply emergency brakes before striking Hollowell.
