Three Henrico men are behind bars charged with breaking into homes and businesses in seven counties.
Authorities say a sheriff's deputy noticed a suspicious car sitting behind the auto body shop in the 1300 block of Anderson Highway in Powhatan, early Wednesday morning.
After further investigation, they were able to round up 23-year-old Justin Sandford, 22-year-old James Wickline, and 25 year old Adam Young, within minutes.
The three men from the Highland Springs and Sandston area, authorities say committed crimes in Cumberland, King and Queen, Middlesex, Henrico, Chesterfield, Prince George and Powhatan counties.
Ginger Rucker says her auto repair shop was hit twice.
Nothing inside was stolen. But up the street, authorities say it was a different story. In Powhatan, three auto repair shops where broken into, but in the other counties it involved homes and other businesses.
Rucker says she doesn't like being so guarded now. She says this tight knit community works hard to support each other and small businesses.
"It's a horribly big headache and it's very difficult trying to reassure people…I still have to assure my customers that things are safe and that it's ok to leave your vehicle here," said Rucker.
The three men may face charges in Powhatan now, but authorities say once this investigation is over, these men could have a very long list of charges against them.
