A Chesterfield man is charged with stealing property from 30 cars at 25 homes in the Kendale Acres subdivision.
Leroy Brunson, 22, of the 6500 block of Jessup Road faces a total of five charges, including two counts of credit card theft, grand larceny and two counts of petit larceny.
Brunson stole $4,300 worth of property from the vehicles along Alfaree Road early Sunday. Some of the property has been recovered and detectives are working to recover the rest.
Police say all the vehicles targeted were left with their doors unlocked. Most of the cars were parked in driveways. Officers say the thief grabbed whatever he could get his hands on.
