Breaking: House Fire South Richmond

Good Tuesday morning from Gray. Here is a look at some of the stories we are working on for 12 News Today.

Breaking news from overnight, crews are trying to figure out what started this house fire in South Richmond. It happened in the 300 block of La Salle Avenue. That's in the Beaufont neighborhood. We have a crew headed to the scene and will bring you the latest information throughout the morning.

Right now police are looking for multiple suspects in an armed robbery. It happened Monday near east 19th and Albany Streets. Police tell us at least one suspect was seen with a gun. All of them got away in a dark-colored sedan. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.

County leaders want to hear from you today on the future of check-cashing-type businesses in Chesterfield. The ordinance is causing a controversy because it would spell out the rules of the game for payday lenders, check cashing companies, pawn shops and other similar businesses that want to set up shop in Chesterfield. The proposal would restrict their signage and location. The county planning commission is holding a meeting tonight at 6pm in The County Administration Building on Iron Bridge Road.

Round two tonight at Hofstra University when President Obama and Mitt Romney meet to debate. Polls after the last debate pegged Romney as the winner but tonight's debate will be different . It is a Town Hall style debate where about 100 uncommitted voters get to submit questions. We have a preview of Presidential Debate number two.
