Missing Virginia veterinarians found

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

The two missing hikers from Virginia have been found, alive and well.

Neal Peckens and Jason Hiser were found around 3:30 pm. Monday in Glacier National Park.

The two men were hiking on the east side of the park near Two Medicine. When they did not make their flight on Friday, the National Park Service launched an investigation and search.

Search crews had to work in winter weather conditions, with up to 18 inches of snow on trails, snow drifts, limited visibility and high winds.

Flathead County Sheriff's Office, Flathead Country Search and Rescue, North Valley Search and Rescue, Flathead Emergency Aviation Resources, and US Border Patrol all helped in the rescue efforts.

The two hikers were missing for five days before they were found.
