A portion of Courthouse Road is back open following a crash in Chesterfield. At approximately 1 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a single vehicle crash in the 3600 Block of Courthouse Road.
Police say the driver of a 2006 Ford pick-up truck ran off the road and struck a utility pole, which houses a transformer. The accident caused brief power outages to nearly 2500 people in that area.
Crews had to close a section of the road for several hours to clean up and assess the damage, but the road is now back open.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash and has been charged with reckless driving.
