
Henrico police have arrested a suspect in a shooting at Regency Square mall earlier this week.
Police arrested Moses Bryant, 23, in 800 block of Blandy Ave. in Richmond around 2:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Police say he was staying with people he knew at the time of the arrest.
Bryant was charged him with malicious wounding, use of a firearm by a convicted felon, shooting in a public place, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police say there are no further arrests expected at this time.
Police believe he fired a shot at Regency Square mall in Henrico's west end shortly before 2 p.m. Monday.
No one was hit by the gunfire in a hallway outside a bathroom near the food court, however two people were injured in the incident. A 74-year-old woman hurt her ankle as she tripped while trying to leave the mall. Detectives also say a 20-year-old man may have been injured in the leg by a ricochet of the bullet.
Several stores were evacuated in the incident and others reported hiding inside stores, while awaiting announcements from security personnel.
