The two women charged with stealing a pair of therapy dogs have been sentenced to community service.
Tess Fisher and Rachel Steinman have each been sentenced to 100 hours of community service, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Police say the women took the dogs from behind a thrift store where the owners volunteer. They say, the women claimed the animals were mistreated, and abandoned, but animal control officers said both dogs were healthy. The two therapy dogs have been returned to their owners.
