RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
A number of viewers have mentioned on the NBC12 Facebook page about mail carriers delivering mail as late as 11 p.m. Tuesday.
From Midlothian to the West End, several people sounded off wondering why their mail arrived so late.
Monday was Columbus Day, so sometimes mail can be delivered a little later than usual. No one from the post office was available to talk about the delay.
A former mail carrier mentioned that it takes longer to sort the mail on days after federal holidays, and the post offices across the country have made several cuts recently.
