
Funeral services will start on Wednesday afternoon for a state trooper killed on duty.
27-year-old officer Andrew Fox died Friday night after being struck by an SUV while directing State Fair traffic in Hanover County.
A black sheet drapes a police cruiser outside the Dublin office in Pulaski County, and flags are flying at half staff.
The Virginia Tech graduate started in the Dublin office in May, and quickly made a strong impression on the community he protected.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, and the funeral service for the trooper will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Refreshing Center in Pulaski County.
