
VCU Police are looking for the suspects in a string of crimes on campus Monday evening.
Police say two armed robberies, three attempted robberies, and one brandishing of a firearm took place at the Monroe Park Campus.
One armed robbery happened at 7:37 p.m. at 913 W Franklin Street. The second happened at Laurel and Cary around 8 p.m. According to the VCU Alert website, a black male, between the ages of 18 and 20, approached the victim, pulled out a gun and robbed the victim.
The attempted robberies happened at Grace and Foushee Streets - around 8 p.m. - Laurel and Cary streets - around 8:30 p.m. - and Cary and Belvidere streets - around 8:30 p.m.
The brandishing of a firearm happened at First and Grace streets – around 8 p.m.
The victims described the suspect as a black male approximately 5'8" wearing a dark grey hoodie with his face covered and pajama pants with chili peppers on them. He was with two other suspects - no description is available for these two at this time.
VCU Police say the same suspect may be involved in all of these incidents - he may be driving an unknown make and color SUV.
