DINWIDDIE, VA (WWBT) -
Dinwiddie County Emergency dispatched fire units at 3:46 a.m. Sunday to a reported trailer fire in the 20,000 block of Boydton Plank Road. Crews arrived to see heavy flames coming from a single wide trailer. The fire was marked under control at 4:50 a.m. Sunday.
The occupant escaped with burns and severe smoke inhalation. That person was taken to Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg for treatment.
The home is a total loss. Another trailer also had minor heat damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
