HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -
If you plan on driving through Short Pump, beware of new traffic patterns that are up and running.
The North Gayton Road extension opened to traffic at 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
It connects North Gayton to Pouncey Tract giving drivers in the far West End a new way of getting to and from Broad Street.
The new road is expected to help ease congestion around that area.
