Grieving supporters gathered to comfort the family of a young murder victim Wednesday night.
In Hillside Court, songs and prayers were offered in memory of 22-year-old Andre Harper, who was gunned down last week in an alley along Dinwiddie Avenue in the southside.
Civic and religious leaders joined police in encouraging residents to stop pointing fingers and guns and reach out to each other to end the violence.
Andre Harper's murder was one of 11 in the city last month. Police have already cleared most of those cases.
