CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -
A suspected arsonist is now facing charges in a total of five fires in May.
31-year-old John Smith was arrested in June and charged with arson in a fire that happened on Robious Road.
Now, a grand jury has returned four new indictments against Smith related to four other fires in May. The fire scenes include a vacant antiques store on Coalfield Road and an old child care center on Village Mill Drive.
Smith is being held without bond. So far, no court date has been set.
