A McDonald's employee was robbed at gunpoint in the restaurant's parking lot Monday morning, according to Richmond Police.
The suspect approached the woman near the intersection of W. Broad Street and Terminal Place around 9:30 a.m. The man came at her with a gun, then took off with the store's deposit money, police said.
"They were all screaming, 'He robbed them! He robbed them!'" said Julia Arnone, who saw the suspect run by. "He was carrying a little bag, which was odd because men don't carry bags. So, it seemed weird to me."
People in the area say it's a good neighborhood with plenty of car and foot traffic, but they're even more surprised the suspect got away!
Police found the money and the handgun, but are still looking for the suspect.
Richmond Police are looking at surveillance video from inside the restaurant to try to identify the suspect.
