HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Vandalism in Henrico at J.R. Tucker High School early Saturday morning has its head football coach now dealing with the clean up.
Police say the suspect, 24-year-old William Carter, of Powhatan, was caught leaving J.R. Tucker's football field after police say he ran his vehicle all over midfield.
He was arrested around 3:00 in the morning and charged with DUI, felony vandalism and trespassing on school property.
Head football coach, George Earle, says J.R. Tucker High School was getting ready to hold its 50th anniversary during next Friday's home game. The school has been preparing the stadium to look its best.
"I was pretty upset," said Earle. "There's been a lot of hard work put in by a lot of people in this field, being a first year head coach and a few years at Tucker, our facilities are something we take a lot of pride in."
Earle says if anyone is willing to help contact J.R. Tucker High School.
