Around 12,400 Dominion Power customers briefly lost power Tuesday morning, during an equipment test at the Acca substation.
The power went out to the customers during the test around 9:40 a.m. By 10:15 a.m., all but 1,400 customers were restored.
Outages were reported from Northside down to Byrd Park west of downtown. The remaining customers were expected to be back only within the hour. There were also 2,000 customers suffering from unrelated outages.
