Nine current Chesterfield County schools could be revitalized or replaced over the next seven years - according to the Richmond Times Dispatch.
Providence Middle School and Manchester Middle School were the only two middle schools mentioned, among the recommendations. There were seven elementary schools. All nine were built before 1968 - three were constructed in 1937 or earlier.
But before any of these projects are included in the comprehensive plan, they must first be accepted by the school board to be included in the public facilities portion of the plan.
