Drivers can expect delays on the Huguenot Bridge due to traffic pattern changes.
On Monday morning, crews will limit the Huguenot Bridge to just one lane. Workers need to install bridge piles and replace the old piles. Bridge piles are part of the foundation.
VDOT says drivers can expect up to 15 minutes in delays going both directions from Richmond to Henrico County.
This phase of the construction comes only a week after repairs caused crews to close the bridge for most of the morning.
The entire bridge is in the process of being replaced. There are more than 25,000 vehicles that drive over the Huguenot daily.
The entire project is expected to be complete next October.
According to VDOT, the bridge will be down from ten to three on Tuesday morning if needed.
