It is not enough to spend all your exercise time in your "comfort zone," you need to push yourself.
Attempt to get your heart rate up to at least 50 percent of your maximum heart rate for 30 minutes 5 times per week.
If beginning an exercise program consult your physician to discuss the intensity of your training and precautions that should be taken prior to and during your exercise time.
