On Monday, NBC12 brought you the story of two dogs that attacked woman and her dog as they did their morning walk in the 1500 block of Claremont Avenue.
Cheri Spence was walking her 10-year-old Husky, Kodiak, when two dogs attacked them. Spence was bitten in the arm, Kodiak also suffered a few bites. Afterwards, the dogs took off.
Since airing the story, the owner of the dogs has come forward and apologized to Spence. He says the animals got loose as he was loading them into his car.
According to Spence, the owner says it will not happen again and both parties have made an agreement when it comes to medical expenses. His dogs are up to date on their shots, so Spence will not have to undergo any kind of rabies treatment. Kodiak was bitten, but the bites did not puncture her skin.
