RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
A retired Virginia Air National Guard officer will find out Wednesday how much prison time she will face for taking part in a $800,000 life insurance scam.
Vickie Armes will be sentenced in federal court in Richmond.
Armes collected more than $800,000 from Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance by falsely claiming both her own death and her husband's.
According to court papers, she used the money on internet gambling.
