A major new development planned at a new section of the West Creek Business Park in Goochland.
New plans call for retail, medical and office space, as well as hotels and apartments. This new development will be called The Notch at West Creek.
This development is just south of West Broad Street near the Route 288 interchange. Developers tell the Richmond Times-Dispatch that they're almost done getting the final approvals for the project.
Work could start in the next 45 days. Water, sewer, and fiber optic lines are already in place. A three-mile parkway linking this development to West Broad Street is also part of the plan. This area is already booming with new businesses.
Some of the largest employers in Richmond have moved there. Capital one, Carmax, HCA, the Virginia Farm Bureau and the Federal Reserve all have offices in West Creek.
