If you're in a hurry and always on the go, you probably don't have time to gather newspapers and clip coupons. Now, all you need is a smartphone or tablet and you're ready to save.
Ever get to the grocery store and envy the person in line next to you with all the coupons? Now, there's an app for that.
Abby Saey with the Target in Savannah Mall explains how their app is perfect for those always on the go.
"Something great about it is you don't have to clip the coupons, put the coupons aside."
Target is just one of many stores offering shoppers the chance to save with their mobile device. All you do is plug in your phone number and you'll immediately receive a text message. That text message contains a link to coupons and deals that you don't need to print to use. All you have to do is present your phone at check-out, and the cashier will scan a barcode.
Valerie Real says she usually goes on Target's website for their printable coupons, but believes the app will be much more convenient.
Target's not the only store taking advantage of the technology. Wal-Mart's app uses GPS to help you find what you need in a particular store, and then gives you deals and discounts.
You can save at some other big name retailers as well. Sears, JC Penney, Home Depot and tons of other stores have apps that even let you order from your phone.
But, if you're still not ready to let go of the coupons, you may be in luck.
Abby Saey said, "Sometimes different manufacturers send out coupons as well. We have a rule where we can scan one manufacturing coupon and one target coupon of the same item so it's kind of a double benefit if you can find coupons that work for your purchase needs."
A benefit that can help you shop for your family without breaking the bank.
