Viral exanthem

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Dr. Kelly McDonald is treating a skin problem called viral exanthem.

It is a fine red, slightly raised, rough rash across the arms, legs, chest and back.

This is a contagious problem and it spreads fairly frequently among household contacts.

If there is sore throat or fever involved, you should see your doctor to ensure that strep is not present.
