OXFORD, MS -
(WMC-TV) - Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace has been tabbed the starter for Saturday's opener against Central Arkansas.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound junior college transfer beats out former MUS star Barry Brunetti for the starting job, but coach Hugh Freeze says both quarterbacks will see time under center Saturday.
Each brings a little something different to the game...Wallace considered the better passer, while is more adept at running the ball.
Wallace threw for over 46-hundred yards and 53 touchdowns last season for East Mississippi Community College.
The 6-foot, 215-pound Brunetti played in five games last season for Ole Miss, starting two.
He completed 19 of 35 passes for 144 yards and also rushed for 110 yards.
