Pedestrian and driver killed in overnight Dinwiddie crash

DINWIDDIE, VA (WWBT) -

Two people were killed in a crash early Sunday morning on Route 460 when a car struck a pedestrian in Dinwiddie County.

25-year-old Erica M. Woodley from Prince George was driving her 2007 Toyota Camry eastbound when she struck 19-year-old Eric D. McKenney approximately one-quarter of a mile west of Route 628 at at 2:28 a.m., according to State Police.

Woodley's car then ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Woodley wasn't wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to VCU Medical Center, where she later died. McKenney was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other women in the cars also suffered serious life-threatening injuries and were all flown by med-flight to VCU Medical Center. 

The Virginia State Police Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting with the on-going investigation.
