One person dead after motorcycle crash in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcycle and a SUV in Chesterfield Wednesday night.

It happened in the 9300 block of Qualla Road just after 11:00 p.m.

Police say a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Qualla Road when the driver crossed the center line and hit the SUV head on.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, 48year-old John Peyton, died at the scene. The driver of the SUV was not seriously hurt.
