
A Massachusetts company is recalling 4,000 pounds of soup products after consumers found bits of plastic in them.
The US Department of Agriculture says the soups made by Blount Fine Foods and were sold at Wegmans Supermarkets in several states, including Virginia.
The following products, all under the Wegmans Food Markets label, are being recalled:
16 oz. cups of Chicken and Dumpling Soup with a "Use By" date of August 24,
16 oz. cups of Gazpacho Soup with a "Use By" date of September 2,
16 oz. cups of Italian Wedding Style Soup with Meatballs, Tomato Basil with Orzo, Caribbean Black Bean and Lobster Bisque, all with a "Use By" date of September 3.
No injuries have been reported.
