Caleb adjusts to college football at WR

BLACKSBURG, VA (WWBT) -

Joel Caleb is one of the best skill players ever to come out of Clover Hill High School.  He spent the last two seasons as the quarterback for the Cavaliers, but he's re-learning one of his old positions as a freshman at Virginia Tech.

Caleb is playing wide receiver for the Hokies and is learning the playbook and mastering routes during preseason camp.  The Clover Hill product hasn't played wide receiver since his sophomore year in high school, but has a shot to see significant playing time as a freshman at wide receiver.  Many young players are battling for spots on the depth chart at the position with the departure of several seniors such at Jarrett Boykin and Danny Coale.

The Hokies open up their 2012 season on September 3 at home against Georgia Tech.
