Happy Friday from Gray. The USDA releases it's monthly crop report today. It's the first since July's record heat wave. The hot weather brought on a drought so severe, it's already affected 63 percent of the country and caused food prices to rise around the world.
We're just a few hours away from the start of this year's Richmond Jazz Festival! It's grown into one of the largest on the East Coast. It starts later today and runs all weekend. We are learning more about Governor Mitt Romney's visit to Ashland tomorrow. The Presumptive Republican Nominee is making several stops in Virginia this weekend. In addition to rallies in Manassas and Norfolk, Romney will tour the U-S-S Wisconsin in Norfolk. In Ashland, he will meet with a small group inside the catering company "Homemades by Suzzane" and then give a speech outside to a bigger group of supporters.
